When I began to write about Joseph Leeds during the Trials portion of Deltland, I often listened to the following song. What divides the country of Magora from north to south is a large river and this river flows into the Bay of Almegon. The river itself played a crucial role in many of the characters lives. The song “the Humbling River” and it’s absolutely perfect lyrics played into this role. While many men, warriors, and kings conquer over land and even each other, almost all of them find themselves halted in their journeys by the humbling river.
